Mississippi University for Women Galleries 

The Mississippi University for Women Galleries is made up of three exhibition spaces: the Eugenia Summer Gallery, the Permanent Collection Gallery, and Gallery B, with the capacity for up to three separate installations at a time.

The Eugenia Summer Gallery is our main venue for changing exhibitions, where we have a special focus on contemporary Southern art. Gallery B is our education / outreach venue, while our Permanent Collections Gallery features selections from our collection.

Mississippi University for Women Galleries is an institutional member of the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries


Check the schedule below for exhibition dates, receptions, and other special events for the academic year. All events are free and open to the public. The galleries are located on the first floor of the Art and Design Building.

2017 Alumni Exhibition Submission Instructions and Application


Sunday Afternoon in the Gallery

Art workshops and events for children ages 8 to 17 Free and open to the public but pre-registration is required
All Sunday Afternoon in the Gallery workshops start at 2:00 and last for approximately 2 hours.
September 25: Experiment with photography using the sun. We will make cyanotypes outside. In case of rain, we will set special lighting conditions inside.
October 16: Galaxies and stars! We will make watercolors inspired by the Star Gazing: Astrophotography and Space Art exhibition.
October 30: Every year, Mexican families create elaborate home altars featuring flowers, candles, skulls, skeletons, food and drink as a way to honor their dead loved ones. Learn about the Mexican Day of the Dead as we will make paper flowers and sugar skulls in honor of this cultural tradition.
