Inspiring Future Leaders
Department of Business
Whether you have the desire to start your own business, manage a business or community organization, or work for a global corporation, The W offers a business degree option to meet your career goals. Our graduates have gained employment in a number of different organizations including government, no-profit, military, education, manufacturing, logistics, and beyond.
Fully-Accredited Undergraduate Program
The W's College of Business and Professional Studies offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (with concentrations in Entrepreneurship, General Business, Marketing, Management, and Management Information Systems) and the Bachelor of Science in Accounting -- both programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) which ensures adherence to strict academic standards for excellence. These acknowledgements enhance a program's ability to serve students by assuring a focus on quality. It ensures that a program is participating in an ongoing effort to provide excellent equipment, software, and learning resources for students.
Our Bachelor of Technology (B.T.) degree can be completed entirely online and in as little as 18 months depending on entry point, completed coursework, degree requirements, and course availability. The B.T. student, however, may take two years, three years, or longer to complete degree requirements - whatever best fits your goals and objectives.
At The W the classes are small, but the opportunities are BIG. Our size and culture offer a personalized learning experience. Low student-to-faculty ratio fosters a close student/faculty relationship which allows us to actively engage our students and make learning relate to real world experiences.
Expand your opportunities
Your marketability improves with a college degree. Future benefits of a college degree include increased wages and improved employment prospects.
The College of Business and Professional Studies offers advanced students the opportunity to acquire relevant work experience in their majors before graduation through its BU 400 course. Internships can provide students with relevant work experience, allow students to investigate different organizations and opportunities, and give students the confidence they need to be successful in their chosen professions. Internships also increase students’ starting salaries. Students with internship experience earn an average of almost nine percent more than their counterparts according to survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
