Office Mix is a free Power Point add-on which allows you to create and edit video presentation content to upload to your course or departmental website. Hear how one faculty member has used this tool and compare it with Camtasia video editing software. Hands-on training workshops for Office Mix and Camtasia are available this week.
B. Lib-Cal: Library Spaces and How to Reserve Them, Amanda Clay Powers, Cochran 307
The newly-remodeled library has many new classroom, meeting spaces, and study rooms which may suit your departmental, teaching, and student needs. This session will include an overview of the new spaces and an introduction to the new calendar reservation system which will allow you to book them. Library tours are available on Tuesday afternoon.

Engaging with current events and service learning is an excellent way to help students see the "real-world" applications of what they are learning in your course. Learn about Smarter Proctoring, our campus exam proctoring registration software, and B Virtual, our online proctoring software, in this session. All proctored exams to be held on our campus must be scheduled through Smarter Proctoring. Hear from one early adopter of the program and see how it may be useful in your own face-to-face, hybrid, or online classes.

This hands-on workshop will teach you how to use Camtasia, an excellent tool for screen capture and video editing. Camtasia is especially helpful for faculty who regularly create video content and want more options than are available through free software like Office Mix. Heavily discounted licenses are available for purchase through the Kossen Center.
