HOW DOES THE WORK ORDER SYSTEM WORK?
Someone (Requester) must first identify the problem on campus which includes important information such as the type of problem, the location of the problem, the date the problem was found, etc. A work request will be initiated and sent to Facilities Management office where it is entered into our Work Order System. A work order is then printed and given to the appropriate facilities department. An emergency work order will take precedent over all other requests. Once a work order is completed, it is returned to our office and closed out in our Work Order System. An e-mail notification of the completion will send to the Requester.
WHAT IF I AM AN ON-CAMPUS RESIDENT?
If you are a student living in a residence hall on campus, you have a slightly different procedure to follow. If you have a problem that needs to be addressed through a work order, complete a work order request form and give it to the Resident Advisor on your floor. The RA will then turn it into the Residence Director who in turn will send it to our office.
HOW DO I INITIATE A WORK ORDER REQUEST?
There are several ways to initiate a work order request.
- Submit a Request through the MySchoolBuilding Work Request System below.
- Call the Facilities Management office (329-7396). If you call the office, please have the information required on the form.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this procedure, or are unable to access the Work Request System, please contact the Facilities Management office at x7396.
