What to Bring and What Not to Bring on Your Visit
Tools allowed in the archives' reading room include:
pencils and paper
tablets and smartphones (silenced please)
cameras (no flash photography)
However, the following items will need to be stowed while using the archives:
bags and purses
coats and jackets
Please do not bring food or drinks, even water, into the reading room.
Archives and Special Collections staff can digitize a limited number of requested materials for visitors. Staff can create .pdf images of documents or .jpg/.tif images of photographs, but will only create up to 10 images per visit due to time and staffing constraints.
The Archives does not create hard (i.e., paper) copies of materials for visitors.
Visitors may bring cameras to photograph materials on their own, but use of flash photography is prohibited, as exposure to intense light is damaging to archival holdings.
