Planned power outage will impact north campus Friday

DarkCOLUMBUS, Miss. – Facilities Management has issued a reminder to the campus community of a planned power outage for north campus on Friday April 18th.

 

The outage is expected to last from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It is the first of two planned outages to repair the HVAC system in Hogarth Dining Center.

The university will be closed for the holdiay, however some students remaining on campus could be impacted.

The buildings affected by the outage are:

  • Cochran
  • Columbus
  • Culinary Arts Institute
  • Grossnickle
  • Hasting-Simmons
  • Keirn
  • Orr
  • Painter
  • Parkinson
  • Poindexter
  • Puckett
  • Shattuck
  • Stovall
  • Taylor
  • Welty
  • Whitfield

 A notice will be sent to campus prior to the second planned outage in a couple of weeks.
