Phi Beta LambdaCOLUMBUS, Miss. - Students from The W's Phi Beta Lambda chapter made an impressive showing at the 2013 Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference last month in Natchez.

The 2013 Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference winners include:

Kelly Ann Taylor: Client Service- 1st Place and Sales Presentation- 1st Place

John Tutor: Financial Concepts- 1st Place

Merry Johnson: Business Law- 1st Place and Public Speaking- 2nd Place

Olivia Dyer: Accounting for Professionals- 3rd Place

Brittney Eubanks: Accounting Analysis & Decision Making- 3rd Place

The top two finishers in each event are eligible to compete at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference that will be held this year in California, June 22-25. The state conference was hosted by Co-Lin Community College in Natchez from Monday, February 25 until Wednesday, February 27 and was attended by approximately 200 college students from around the state, all competing in these and other business-related events.

Dr. Kyle Dempsey, Instructor of Psychology and Thomas Haffey, Instructor of Marketing are the advisers for PBL.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) student business organization with nearly a quarter million members and advisers in 6,000 chartered high school and college chapters worldwide. Its mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The association is headquartered in Reston, Virginia outside Washington, DC.

Student NetID Password Update

MUW ITS will be implementing a new password policy for all University Student users starting Tuesday Feb. 28, at 10:00 AM. The password change will be activated/required upon your next login after the enforcement has been enabled. The change will not lock or force you out if you are actively working on your computer.

If your password already meets the above requirements, you will still have to change your password once the new policy rules are officially enforced. Changing your password before Feb. 28 should be done if you have a security reason to do so, but not in response to jumping ahead of the Password Policy change date/time. Changing your password ahead of time will not negate the requirement to change it again on Tuesday Feb. 28, at 10:00 AM.

After the new password policy has been enabled, Students will not be able to login to services (Portal, MUWnet WiFi, Office 365, Orgsync, etc…) that use NetID credentials until you change and update your password using the follow criteria.

MUW ITS will never ask for your NetID Password via email.
