Department of Associate Nursing
The Associate of Science in Nursing Program prepares nurses to provide care to patients in the community with acute and chronic health care needs where policies and procedures reflect current nursing standards of care and practices.
The department provides two tracks: a Generic Option for qualified students that currently do not have any experience in nursing, and an Advanced Placement Option for students with an LPN to become an RN.
Two Options:
Associate of Science in Nursing Generic Option
This is an innovative, fast-paced, two-year program leading to an Associate of Science in Nursing degree. The Associate of Science in Nursing Program prepares nurses to manage direct care to patients with commonly recurring illnesses in acute and long-term health care facilities.
Associate of Science in Nursing LPN/RN Advanced Placement Option
This is an innovative and fast-paced option leading to an Associate of Science in Nursing degree. The Associate of Science in Nursing Program prepares nurses to manage direct care to patients with commonly recurring illnesses in acute and long-term health care facilities. The program of study includes a three-week preceptorship experience immediately prior to graduation.
