Welcome to The W family! We are very excited that you have chosen our university and its rich history. The W was founded in 1884 as the first public college for women in the United States and for over 30 years The W has opened its doors to men.

Transfer Transition at The W is a highly informative and interactive program where students and family members will be educated on the odds and ends of the institution.

 

At this orientation you will…

  • Learn about various resources made available to you as a W student such as the Stark Recreation Center, on campus day care, and financial aid.
  • Get information about on campus living and commuting to campus
  • Meet with your advisor and register for classes
  • Get university ID made
  • Meet with various campus student organizations

 

Family members will…

  • Participate in programming specifically for them
  • Meet with various campus resources that will be available to their W student.

 

Attendance at Transfer Transition is strongly encouraged as it is a new student’s first step to a successful experience.  Check in will begin at 9:00 a.m. and we will wrap up by 5:00 p.m.
