When I entered The W as a freshman in 1979, I knew no one on campus. I found a welcoming, nurturing environment that led me to quickly make friends and feel at home.
Two W degrees and many years later, I have cherished friendships from those days and a career built on the outstanding education I received from professors who cared. Today, I am proud to lead my alma mater as President.
I know firsthand that whatever your interests, The W can provide the support and the opportunities to reach your goals. We care about our students as individuals, and we offer learning opportunities in ways to meet your needs.
You may choose to be a residential student and take advantage of participation in student government, social and academic societies, athletics, or one of more than 70 student organizations. You may elect to take some on-campus and some online courses. Or, if you’re a working adult, The W offers several completely online degree options. We also offer one of the most affordable tuition structures of any university in the region.
I invite you to learn more about the promise and opportunity of our university. There’s a place here for you!
