• Community Service Honors


The Office of Community Service recruits volunteers from the student body, networks with service agencies in the community that need volunteers, matches and places volunteers with an agency of their choosing.

Participation in community service a visible way to live the mission of Mississippi University for Women, and service allows students to share their talents with those in need, learn more about themselves, and give back to the community they call home.

The Office of Community Service maintains a list of service opportunities and organizes a variety of service events from afternoons of service to three day service trips. For most events, the office facilitates transportation to service sites.

Presidential Honor Roll

 Thanks to your assistance, The W has made the list 2 years in a row for the Presidents Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll! We hope to do it again this year. 

 Application criteria states that service completed between June 1st 2012 and June 30th 2013 will be counted in our application submission.
