Stark Recreation Center

Intramural Sports

The MUW Intramural Program offers a wide variety of individual, dual and team sport activities for women, men, and coed groups throughout the academic year.  Intramurals is a fun way to meet new people, become physically active and participate in friendly competition.  The atmosphere is informal to encourage participation for enjoyment of the activity rather than superior performance abilities.  Visit the Intramural Sports website.

Rec Fitness

Plymouth Bluff Center

  • Owls Athletics Announce Open Tryout Dates for Fall 2018
  • Owls Men's Soccer Announces 2018 Newcomers
    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls soccer program and head coach Tim Gould announce the addition of fifteen student-athletes to the 2018 soccer roster. 
  • Owls Women's Soccer Announces Inaugural Team
    Columbus, Miss. – The 2018-19 academic year adds Owls women’s soccer to The W Athletics Department offerings. Headed by veteran junior college Gray Massey, the first class of Owls women’s soccer players brings experience and scholarship to their new positions at the Mississippi University for Women.
  • Owls Volleyball 2018 Incoming Class
    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls volleyball program and head coach Roxanne Hernandez announce the addition of four student-athletes to the 2018 volleyball roster. Melaina Migues, Hannah O’Barr, Courtney Poole, and Shelby Jones will join the Owls this fall.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W’s spring 2018 Athletic Director's List contains 38 Owls student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester.
