You could say that leadership is part of our academic DNA. We incorporate it into our core curriculum and our majors.
And, if your academically ambitious, you can also apply to The W Leadership Program. The program is designed for students who have their sights on upwardly mobile career paths, who see themselves as leaders in their fields. The program focuses on honing the skills of self-knowledge, self-discipline, initiative, and teamwork that all good leaders share. Monthly leadership events focus on sharpening these skills and community service projects are great practice grounds for what you’ve learned…and you get to make a difference while you’re learning.
The W Leaders have distinguished themselves across Mississippi and the United States. They are a strong community with a proud tradition.
