Dickey’s work in North American Print Biennial

The Machine Stops

Shawn Dickey’s work, “The Machine Stops,” was selected for inclusion in The Boston Printmakers 2017 North American Print Biennial at Lunder Arts Center at Lesley University College of Art and Design, Cambridge, Mass., by juror Judith Brodie, curator and head of American and modern prints and drawings at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. The Boston Printmakers received 1,990 entries from which 88 works were accepted for the exhibition.

‘Know Your Numbers’ theme of II+C Symposium


With a focus on factors that affect heart health, the 2018 Imagine, Inspire, Challenge (II+C) Symposium at Mississippi University for Women will feature outstanding researchers in the field as well as faculty experts. The theme for the second annual event is “Know Your Numbers.” All sessions will be held in Rent Auditorium of Whitfield Hall.

Heda receives funding for cystic fibrosis research


Dr. Ghanshyam Heda, professor of biology, has received a $55,000 grant from the Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) to aid student research related to cystic fibrosis. This is the eighth consecutive year for his research to be funded.
