We understand our name can be confusing. Men are a vital part of our student body.
We were founded to provide opportunity. In 1884, when we were established, that was for the women of Mississippi. For more than 30 years we've welcomed men to our campus. Today, 19 percent of our students are men. We have a lot to offer you.
Academic preparation begins at The W.
You won't find graduate students teaching classes here; all of our courses are taught by professors. And with a 14-to-1 student-faculty ratio, you can expect plenty of one-on-one interaction with your instructors.
The men of The W are studying nursing, business, communication, history, culinary arts, education, and exercise science, among many majors. There are more than 50 academic concentrations to suit your interests.
Show Me the Money.
The W has a competitive tuition - the lowest in Mississippi among public universities.
We have kept tuition steady for two years and we offer a range of scholarships that include academic and subject-specific. We'll work with you to find ways to make your education affordable.
